Learning to Change May Not Be What You Think

Something that really blessed me this week was when a dear friend said, “Just wanted to send a quick hello and a wish for a decent day with some special hugs from nature’s beauty somewhere along the way.”

We’re touched by love and beauty in so many ways. Learning to allow that to change us, learning to sing the song that is sung to us can be so hard – or the easiest thing ever. Maybe that’s the problem!

“Untitled” Poem

(first poem I’ve written in 7 years)

here again
no use today
to try again
the same old way

felt the fire
brought by love
tired heart
wings of dove

but only one
way to run
“nothing new
under the sun”

it’s your own
until you fall
not enough
always all

crawl again
a quiet place
one new voice
on this day

bring the light
the sun will rise
learn to see
beyond your eyes

So far away
it’s always near
silent times
to learn to hear

time to find
what’s been found
grace and kindness
forever crowned

Side note: Spring is fast coming upon us, meaning TONS of birds raising young! Check out the Bird & Wildlife Cam Links.
