Red-tailed Hawk Story – Week 3

Before we get started with this week, here are some original BOG photos from Christinebshoals from the squirrel delivery last week after Ezra had been forced to stay off the nest for a long period of time due to the high winds.

See all the gorgeous photos on Christine’s Flickr page, and also the fabulous photos from trtldove of this “event”.

Also last week, Cornell’s Vet School celebrated its annual open house on 4/11. Simon Wheeler from the Ithaca Journal took the below photo of Cornell Raptor Program ambassador E3 (BR and Ez’s youngest offspring from 2014 who was injured after fledging and is now unreleasable). The related article appeared in the Ithaca Journal on 4/12.

And now, onto this week’s Scap Gallery!

Overall, it was a very quiet week with some much nicer weather than last week. There was some wind that gave Ezra some trouble (see Reno’s scaps from 4/13), but not nearly as much as last week as he was still able to make prey deliveries and take turns incubating.
